Definitely return for longer stay and would have no hesitation in recommending

Pros: The staff were really friendly and ultra helpful …all guests we spoke to were very happy with hotel and enjoying their stay - breakfast was lovely and service excellent

Cons: It’s a shame the pool is not heated😳 I love to swim and would have used the pool except it was very cold

Pros: The setting is beautiful and the buildings are traditional Dutch thatch style. The pool area is lovely with very comfortable loungers. Our family bedroom was great. The is a free transfer into town which is a bonus.

Cons: The informal restaurant lacked atmosphere for the evening (luckily we could sit outside) and unfortunately the food was not great as the steak was more than overdone but it was rectified and they dealt with it very well. The bathroom and carpet could be updated and a blackout fitted blind on the velux would be great but the staff did sort this out with a sheet. The pros massively outweighed any cons.

Tranquil and comfortable

Pros: Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options including fresh fruit, cereals and pastries, and a whole honeycomb

Cons: We only had dinner there once. It wasn't great and was expensive. Better to go into Franschhoek itself where there are many excellent eateries

Beautiful hotel with a 10/10 breakfast and reasonable free shuttle service to and from town,

Pros: Loved the pool. Breakfast was incredible. Liked the shuttle service to and from town

Cons: We had to wait 40 minutes for the shuttle one night after being told it would be 10-15 minutes which wasn’t ideal, especially as it had got quite cold. The staff were fine and friendly but didn’t go above and beyond.

Pros: The rooms were really nice and the grounds were fantastic and gave the kids place to run and play. The location made things nice to just relax and be quiet.

Cons: Hot breakfast options were pretty limited and could be a bit more open

Pros: Amazing service, free shuttle into town. All staff very knowledgeable on wines and where to go..extremely helpful especially the shuttle drivers.

Cons: Although the had a living room, just felt that the bedroom was very cramped.

Pros: Third time to stay here. Staff are well trained and professional and the breakfast is really good

Cons: The bedroom for the one bed chalet is a bit cramped. And our guesser burst and took a full day to be resolved and staff was slow to allocate alternative bathing facilities

A fantastic place to stay - pay the extra and go for a suite or villa - well worth it

Pros: Great pool, villa rooms and suites well worth additional cost . The manager, Thalia managed to sort out a potential complaint into a glowing recommendation - give her a pay rise- she is a great asset to the hotel.

Cons: Initially we had a deluxe room - poor TV reception - rooms not that large - after speaking to Thalia she was able to rectify our problem - very helpful
