A quaint cottage conveniently located for the event venue, with all the basics and rustic charm
Pros: The cottage was fine, old but well maintained. Otherwise having a fire is nice but only if you know how to make use of it; an electric heater would be easier and more convenient, but that is my personal opinion. It has the basics, a nice garden with great views and 3 friendly dogs!
Cons: There were some cobwebs at the corners of the ceiling.

Great weekend getaway from Cape Town
Pros: The tennis court was a clear highlight of the trip! Gorgeous views, friendly hosts, and great local produce from their padstal (craft beer/cider, homemade cheese & fresh sourdough). Appreciated the free coffees from their padstal. Overall a very cute spot.

A very nice place to stay and to visit the Ceder Mountains.
Pros: A gentle small house on a fruit estate managed by very nice hosts. Beautiful garden and a nearby โcreativ hubโ with art, food and drinks also managed by the hosts. The view on the Ceder Mountains is great.
Cons: The load shedding had quite some impact on our stay, as the electricity didnโt come back afterwards this time. And the big 3 dogs are something you must like, otherwise it might be disturbing (noise and presence).

A piece of heaven on earth
Pros: The most beautiful place with awesome view on the mountains with snow on the peaks, the river was going strong and we were right next to it. You could just sit on a rock and be mesmerised or go for a walk along the river side. we really had such a lovely time, even though it was cold. The fireplace was a winner with more than enough wood to keep us warm. It was just marvellous. Thank you!! to the owners who shares this with the rest of us.

I really hope I have the chance to come back and spend a bit more time on the farm.
Pros: Our cottage had deck overlooked a stunning river that I was not expecting! Check in was really easy, even though we arrived after dark, and although I did not meet the owners because we arrived late, they helped my dad make arrangements for an important zoom call, despite spotty internet and mobile connections in the area (which is a function of being in the mountains, not the farm's fault). The fire place was also lovely, and the innovation hub down the road has some lovely coffee and quirky garden art.
Cons: I wasn't totally clear that the second 'room' in the cottage was a mezzanen. It worked out because I was travelling with my parents and sister, but could certainly be a damper for folks traveling with friends.
