Heuwelsig Farm Cottages

Amazing views

Pros: Very comfortable studio apartment with a great balcony one side and views over the paddock the other, with zebras and springbok. Very comfortable bed. Had a great wine tasting and pizza at Leopards Leap winery which was very close by.

Not for swimmers but otherwise comfortable for a relaxing stay.

Pros: The Mountain room was spacious, clean, well equipped with a comfortable bed & a good shower. Our welcome was excellent & Eunica was extremely helpful. It was fun to see zebra, donkeys & springbok grazing in the field below, The outdoor space at the back was private & useful for sun-batheing.

Cons: The water in the natural pool, which was little bigger than a splash pool, was green, slimy & uninviting with frogs, frogspawn & tadpoles swimming. When we visited, we saw no-one attempting to swim in it . Not the accomodation if you want to swim! There was no outdoor shower to the unit instead of the pool to cool down in the heat as the hot tub situated there was also full of frogspawn!. The lighting in the sitting area was very poor - OK for watching TV but not good enough for reading or writing.

Pros: Location is great, the farm is beautiful, it's close to town and other wine farms, Eikehof farm which has the same owners is down the road and it's a great stop. The room is big, the bathroom is very nice and the bed is big and comfortable! There is also air conditioning which is a plus! The wood-fired hot tub is great as well. The kitchen has a lot of amenities and they provide untensils for the braai as well as a complimentary bag of wood and firelighters. There is also laundry facilities and shaded parking under a tree. I also enjoyed the eco-pool! Overall this was an incredible stay and worth every cent!

Cons: There honestly wasn't anything to complain about

Very relaxing

Pros: Eunice was charming and went out of her way to make us feel welcome.

Cons: The unit would be enhanced by the addition of scissors, wooden spoons, serving spoons, peeler hairdryer and an electric kettle. Some guests want to cook their own meals!

Peaceful

Pros: Restful quiet stay with very welcoming and accommodating staff and owners. Added bonus were the zebras and buck on property. Will definitely return if we in the vicinity

I had a very peaceful stay. Lovely and helpful staff, beautiful location and plenty of facilities.

Pros: Huge double bed, peaceful and private garden with hot tub, well stocked kitchen, and a beautiful view of the farm and mountains from the property.

Cons: The knives could have been sharper for home cooking.

Peaceful and quiet.

Pros: A lovely little cottage, in a quiet, peaceful beautiful setting. It had everything we needed, there were even 2 braais and a hot tub.

Cons: There where no matches in the cottage to light the fire or the hot tub.

Pros: Myself and hubby explored Franshoek and the accommodation was perfectly located. The host was very helpful and the view was fantastic!!

Peaceful farmstay

Pros: Spacious clean and well equipped cottage. It is our 2nd time booking at this facility. Animals around and nice quiet surroundings

Cons: Not enough firewood for a braai and the fireplace.

Relaxing and extremely comfortable, a haven within an ideally located haven

Pros: Spacious, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Gorgeous views made extra special with the Zebra and Bokke for company

Cons: Nothing to dislike
