Amazing place to stay would highly recommend. Breakfast was very good too.

Pros: Great location, lovely setting, staff and owners were very helpful and friendly.

Cons: Comfy bed, clean, well set out. Outside area and pool lovely and relaxing.

Wonderful 2 night stay

Pros: Wonderful 2 night stay at the Lab. The service was exceptional and very friendly. The room was spacious, well equipped with a very comfy bed and a good bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The location was perfect and within a pleasant walk of the centre and wine tram. Would highly recommend!

Pros: We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options. The location is very convenient, allowing you to walk easily into town. There is also parking available and a swimming pool, which was a great bonus. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Pros: The family room we had was very spacious with a separate bedroom for the children. The room opened up onto the pool area. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was lovely.

Cons: The location is a little further out than we expected - about 10-15 mins in the heat of the day.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially given a technical issue with our bedroom that needed fixing. They went out of their way to accommodate us.

Cons: The bedroom layout could be improved.

Value for money accommodation

Pros: Good value for money but quite a distance from Franschhoek centre. We were just passing through so not a problem. Staff were all lovely. Immaculately clean.

Cons: Breakfast quite basic - butter prepacked, milk sterilised. Bath impossible to run as couldn't use plug effectictively

Very nice, unusual property! Good facilities.

Pros: The LAB is unusual in its concept; the rooms are very sparse, clean lines, minimalist. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were of good quality. There was a very relaxed atmosphere within the LAB, which was welcome. The centre of Franschhoek was only a 15-20 minute walk so no need to consider parking issues. There was a nice pool area to the rear with several sunbeds and chairs.

Cons: There was no division between rooms, which could be an issue for some as there was no privacy and, if using the bathroom at night, there was a good chance partners would also be disturbed or wakened. Our windows were completely opaque which meant that we could not see outside towards the front of the building, with only small open aspect to the rear. It therefore felt a little claustrophobic not knowing what was happening outside. All rooms to the front of the property seemed to have similar window features.

Pros: I had a lovely stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and everything was very clean and tidy. The pool was an added bonus as were the resident dogs.

Fabulous place to stay, we will return.
