Beautiful spot , highly recommend .

Pros: Location was beautiful , accommodation was nice , big beds and baths . Nice pool and beautiful lake to swim in

Pros: Nature at it's best. Owner and wife extremely friendly and kind. Was shocked to see how close the recent fire came to the facility. Lovely clean pool

Lovely working farm with great management and wines within walking distance.

Pros: The location, in a quiet vineyard farm, was perfect with nearby access to a local town and to mountain nature reserves and walks (both by car). Morning coffee on the terrace, watching local birds eat the berries of native trees nearby, was extremely relaxing. The staff were always on hand to help and advise, and we could buy their rather rare wines direct from the maker for our evening meals.

Cons: Nobody´s fault at all but the area had a wildfire that finished only a day or so before we arrived, and nearly burned down the accommodation, so some of the surroundings were charred rather than green and some of the facilities (eg the small pool) were not looking their best! Given these circumstances it was remarkable what the property managers had achieved post-fire and makes us all the more enthusiastic to return when the vegetation recovers.

Peaceful location, great views, lovely dam and relaxing terrace

Pros: Nicely appointed cottages with a lovely feel and peaceful terraces with right amount of shade/sun. We loved the location and the dam was a real treat for a cooling swim. But not too cold! Gorgeous quiet spot, 5mins from town, nothing fancy but all relaxed, clean and comfortable.

Stony Brook in the Summer Heat

Pros: We loved Stony Brook! The location is beautiful, the secret dam is amazing, and Bev's care was really felt. Will definitely be back.

The place to stay in Franschhoek

Pros: The very nice cottage has everything you need. With a short walk there is an beautiful dam to swim in with stunning view over the valley. Stony Brook also has a wonderful winetasting with Cheese platters.

Relaxing paradise in Franschhoek

Pros: Quiet, beautiful and comfortable, great parking, stunning dam on the property for amazing swimming. The wine tasting was superb, some really excellent wines! Staff incredibly friendly and hospitable. We will definitely be returning.

Comfortable stay in a beautiful location just outside of Franschoek

Pros: Lovely peaceful location tucked away between the vineyards, a few kms away from town. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Very accommodating hosts.

Cons: The only complaint was the small blue light in the room, indicating the beams were armed, was quite bright at night time.

Fabulous accommodation on a working farm 10 minutes from Franschhoek.

Pros: Very spacious, huge bed, the walk to the dam which is crystal clear. The location is excellent.

Cons: Nothing.
