Really great long weekend in Franschhoek

Pros: Everything. We stayed with our crawling 9 month old baby. We stayed for three nights to see Franschhoek. It was perfect for that. The grounds are beautiful. It’s peaceful and relaxed and very safe. Our request for an extra bed was no issue and sorted for us with no problems. Perfect for a short stay.

Cons: If you are self catered it’s tough because you only have a microwave. A toaster would have been a big help for us to sort breakfast with a baby without having to go out first thing.

Stunning Estate

Pros: Set in stunning grounds but set deep into the estate so you will need a car or strong legs to get into Franschoek. The decor of the rooms didn't live up to the surroundings - felt a wee bit dated but it was clean and in good order. Absolutely no interaction with staff other than to be let into the estate via intercom. Room cleaned daily.

Pros: Great self-catering stay at beautiful estate. Nice, quiet and clean room. A short drive out from town, but nothing to worry about. Entrance to estate via gates worked flawlessly, don't be fooled by comments here that it is complicated. Can recommend without hesitation and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful estate setting

Pros: Stunning estate setting, absolutely beautiful area. Large rooms with very comfortable bed. Nice touches, cheese biscuits for your wine etc. Tea coffee etc. Walkable to tram (30-40 mins).

Pros: Incredible location - so peaceful and such beautiful views. The room was lovely, very spacious and had everything you could need.

Cons: Not really a negative for myself but the drive is quite long - still only a 25/30 minute walk into all the shops, so restaurants etc (10 minutes of this is the drive but it's beautiful to walk along!)
