Midweek getaway

Pros: The host and the staff were super friendly. They helped us to get the hottub started. The calmness on the farm were a bonus. We got relaxed very quickly. The air fryer were a nice bonus and the warm blankets and the heater that pre heated the cottage. We liked everything, just were looking for a space in the bathroom to keep our toiletries/bag (the dry stuff),the shower is nice and spacious and we managed just fine.

Quick Getaway

Pros: The cottage is fitted with everything you need to have a comfortable cozy stay. There was never a moment I needed something, and it wasn't there. The bathroom is very spacious and clean. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, especially the sunrise creeping over the mountains in the morning. The hot tub was the ultimate relaxation we needed during our quick getaway. Depending on your preference, you can really crank the heat up. Madri, our friendly host, checked up on us to make sure we have everything we need. Booking a stay at Hoogwater Cottage is definitely worth it.

Pros: Our stay at the Hoogwater Cottage was truly lovely. It was exactly as photographed, and was an absolute hidden gem. We were in town for a wedding but we can't wait to visit again and spend more time on the farm!

Happy stay!

Pros: Had a lovely and comfortable stay. The host was very accommodating and we got invited to join the nectarine picking on the farm which was special.

Cons: More bathroom amenities would have made the experience even better.

Escape to the Boland mountains

Pros: Hoogwater offers a great weekend escape and a peaceful retreat. The cottage has stunning views of the mountains and surrounding orchards. The cottage is well equipped and has a wonderful outside braai. I also loved the down duvet.

Cons: The mattress felt past its prime.
