We were made to feel very welcome! Kyle ia a wonderful host! Peace, quiet and tranquility!

Pros: Beautiful, secluded, private lovely garden and pool, a lovely place to chill, a private west facing balcony area for the event sun!

Cons: We booked it as our flights had been cancelled so do not really know what was available in the locality. Though the spier wine farm only a few miles away is a definite plues

Thee most relaxing experience & amazing stay

Pros: My partner & I had an amazing stay at Frieden-Hof. The property is so peaceful & the host is honestly so amazing. We’ll definitely be coming back ✨

Clean, spacious

Pros: Spacious room, ability to cook meals if needed. Room has a fan, fridge and microwave, also provided with milk which was great! The filter coffee press we appreciated. Mosquito nets are present but can’t be held together. Nice shower also.

Cons: At night, part of the path to the room has no light. The pool is uninviting, the paint is coming off the bottom and water is murky. Door to room doesn’t lock securely, it’s loose once locked. The mirror needs to be hung higher as you have to bend to see in it to dry your hair. No quick check out/ key drop off.

Pros: Absolutely wonderful stay! This guesthouse exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel genuinely welcome. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable — everything felt thoughtful and well cared for. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding, yet still conveniently located. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, always friendly, helpful, and professional. Every detail — from the quality of the amenities to the overall cleanliness and tranquility — reflected pride and passion in what they do. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and memorable stay.

Pros: Friendly traditional South African experience, host was very helpful and suggested the best areas to visit to make our stay even more special in Cape Town and also beautiful friendly dogs made even better. Highly recommend!

Pros: Our stay here was absolutely amazing. The host is warm and welcoming. The staff are super friendly. The property is beautiful, cozy and peaceful. The dogs bring a wonderful liveliness to the place.

Nice relaxing retreat for a few nights

Pros: Host was extremely welcoming and a great communicator. Nice big comfortable room very modern bathroom and a great big bath. Back up power worked well when there was an outage.

Cons: Very pet forward so recommend you like dogs which we did so it was nice. Bit out of the way with not much in walking distance, but if you have a car very easy to get to Stellenbosch.

Pros: EVERYTHING!!! The place was amazing. Stunning, comfortable and so relaxing. Karin the hostess was such an amazing person. Wish we could stay longer. Will definitely be back again.

Marvellous, magical and friendly. Incredible beds and the best continental breakfast.

Pros: This is a gem of a place to stay. The garden, swimming pool, special places to sit and listen to the birds all make up for a feeling of tranquility and delight. My room had its own balcony that was furnished with lovely pieces and comfy chairs to sit in and admire the sunset.

Cons: I didn't like I had to leave so soon.
