Wonderful farm/wildlife stay

Pros: Great for a spot to sleep and have a nice cup of tea in the morning while watching some zebras and springboks. The hosts were also so super helpful, we were there for a wedding and so I asked for an iron for our clothes and she gave us one (and a board). Also adorable and friendly cats wandering around. We loved it there and if we want to stay in the area again, will go back right there. (Also nice to watch birds and we saw a lovely Waterbuck family in the afternoon!)

Pros: We loved the wine farm and the location of the place. Wonderful views from the terrace and lovely outdoors. The place was very clean and the staff really friendly. We arrived earlier and there was no problem if we put our suitcases already.

Cons: The only thing we missed was someway to cool down. It can get quite warm and the place has no pool or airconditioning. It was windy, so we could enjoy some winds at the terrace.

Cozy place to wind down after wine tasting

Pros: This place is super cute and in a great location. The animals come very close to the property and you are close to surrounding wineries and Stellenbosch. They also have lots of different recommendations on where to go.

Cons: The apartment gets quite cold and the internet was poor.

Wildlife up close

Pros: We loved the springboks and zebras grazing so close to our room. It is very relaxing watching the animals.

Pros: We had a lovely time on this wonderful vineyard where we could take a walk around the property to watch the sunrise and sunset and see the table mountain and Lion's head and had breakfast right next to the antilopes. We even got a free wine tasting. We had an air fryer in the kitchen but a real stove would have been a nice addition although there are so many good restaurants close by that you don't really need to cook. They offered that we could cook some pasta in their kitchen which we didn't need after all.

Pros: Beautiful scenery & very peaceful. Exceptionally clean & comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. Zebra, impala & wildebeest roam freely just past the cottage verandah, which was a lovely spot to sit & relax. We really enjoyed our complimentary wine tasting & informative host. The retreat is also close to many great vineyards by car - we'd recommend the Creation Winery for its amazing views, friendly staff & good coffee.

Pros: This was easily one of my favourite stays in the Cape Town area. The setting is absolutely stunning, with everything you could possibly need and exceptional value for money. Waking up to zebras, wildebeest, springbok and other wildlife just outside your private veranda was magical. The accommodation itself is clean, peaceful, and incredibly well-priced for the experience you get. In my opinion, this is one of the best-value stays not just in South Africa, but anywhere in the world. If you’re reading this review to decide whether or not to book—stop reading and book it now. You won’t regret it.
