The River Siding

Excellent. Beautiful views, access to river and privacy

Pros: The attention to detail. The fact that it had almost all the items you would need in a normal house and not just the necessities. The host was also very accommodating with special requests. The fruit trees and process was educational for the children

Cons: At times when the river is very low it is not possible to swim or really splash in the water as the pools are Bit stagnant. A small splash pool would be great to help cool off a bit as it was very hot.

Pros: Rustic, clean and on the river. Easy access to our wedding location, to Ceres andTulbach.

Cons: The directions from the main road very hard to see/ find. Also the directions to the cottages - especially the 3rd cottage not well marked.

Pros: Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. Loved sitting outside with the river gently running past us. Beds very comfortable. Cannot find a fault.

Cons: We in our late 70's so missed the cottage and drove through the whole farm. Perhaps a visible sign outside the cottage would be helpful.

Pros: Lovely large wooden cabin with enough space located next to the river. Wish we could stay longer to enjoy the mountain views.

Perfect breakaway

Pros: Even though it is rustic it has lovely finishes and touches and even smells great! Serene, well equipped, everything you need for a quiet getaway

Cons: I don’t mind but for future guests it’s good to note the bathrooms are separate (a few steps) from the chalet (shared stoep)

Pros: Great location next to the river, with amazing views of the mountains. Ceres, Wolseley and Tulbagh are all easily accessible. The log cabin was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The hosts were easily accessible and helped out with issues quickly.

Cons: This is a working farm so during the week you can expect some noise from farm vehicles and cars on the nearby roads, however it wasn't loud enough to be bothersome.

Tranquility

Pros: Absolutely loved our weekend away! Quiet, peaceful, and simply serene. The view is gorgeous. The sounds of the river and birds were so refreshing. Cabin was very clean, bedding and towels are great as well. Found the place big enough for my husband, 2 kids, and I. Over enough space for kiddos to play. Check in and out went smoothly with clear communication. All in all, a great stay! Thank you Stephanie!

Pros: The privacy and beautiful natural location on the river bank surrounded by fruit trees and high mountains. Just beautiful and so peaceful. Good for the soul.

I love it. It was my type of stay

Pros: It was well located. I loved the waterflow sound during night and morning. Very comfortable and nice walking trails down the river through the fruit trees

Cons: Entrance is very sharp and difficult to see especially during night time.

Pros: Beautiful place. Clean and well maintained. Value for money. Will definitely be back again.

Cons: Only negative is the proximity to the road but not a deterrent.
