Roubaix House - A Heritage Retreat in the Heart of Franschhoek

We had an amazing time in Karis apartment, the best place in Franschhoek for us! We will return 💯.

Pros: Amazing apartment, clean, spacious, private… comfy bed, beautiful interior, nice outdoor area. The location was great, quiet but super central. Everything was simply perfect. Kari ist the best host one can wish for ❤️

Beautiful, comfortable, spacious, relaxing.

Pros: This is the most amazing place to stay. Exceptionally clean and comfortable with lots of little touches to make it feel extra luxurious. Kari is a kind and generous host and checked in regularly to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The outdoor space is perfect for relaxing. The location is great, in safe walking distance of everywhere you would want to visit. We have stayed in Franschhoek many times before and this is the place we would want to return to.

Pros: The property is located in the centre of the village and everything about this beautiful apartment has been wonderfully curated. The owner is incredibly sweet, responsive and kind.

Pros: Staying here was an absolute dream! The accommodation itself was spotless, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the host, Kari! Her attention to detail, warmth, and exceptional service is honesty out of this world! She went above and beyond in every way, making us feel so welcome and cared for. This accommodation comes with my highest recommendation 100/10!! Thank you, Kari, can't wait to be back!

After my stay I felt refreshed, relaxed and can't wait to visit again.

Pros: The location of the accommodation was perfectly situated. Close proximity to the shops and restaurants in the main street. Walking distance to catch the tram/bus for the wine routes. Lovely walks around the area especially being able to buy some freshly baked bread. The accommodation was excellent, very spacious and comfortable. All the amenities are provided to make your stay homely. The hosts made me feel welcome. They are very knowledgeable about the local area and can make excellent recommendations on what to do and where to go.

Cons: There wasn't one thing I didn't like. Everything was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing.

Pros: Kari war eine wundervolle Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns direkt tolle Restauranttipps gegeben – sogar die Reservierung hat sie für uns übernommen. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts hat sie sich aufmerksam um uns und unsere Bedürfnisse gekümmert. Besonders großzügig fanden wir, dass sie uns sogar angeboten hat, ihren privaten Pool zu nutzen. Das Apartment selbst ist sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer, eine Küche und ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer – perfekt, um sich rundum wohlzufühlen. Wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit sicher gefühlt. Die Lage ist ebenfalls ideal: direkt im Zentrum, sodass man alles bequem zu Fuß erkunden kann. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Cons: Es gibt nichts negatives zu berichten.

Pros: Great location, just one block back from the main street but also nice and quiet with secure parking. Welcomed with wine & chocolates & Amarula! Host Kari has thought of everything. Attention to detail was excellent, beautiful protea flowers in the dreamy white bedroom and the bed was the best. Super big shower with toiletries and lovely sun terrace. Kitchen well appointed (although we ate out with friends) plenty of tea/coffee, fridge etc., and comfortable lounge. Host on hand to help when we needed a taxi and also provided local info guide. Would definitely recommend.

Cons: Nothing. Roubaix House and the host was exceptional.
