Happy Hideaway

A really great place to relax, unwind and explore Hermanus.

Pros: The place was great, really spacious, which was perfect for our family. The house was secure, with an electric gate, and a good size garden. Everything was clean, worked well, and it was just a great place to spend a few days.

Cons: Not applicable, everything was as we expected it, so nothing else to comment on.

Pros: really nice and helpful host, we were able to check in earlier and check out later

Pros: The quiet neighborhood, friendly and helpful hosts, and the property's close proximity to restaurants.

Great location, great host, great house!

Pros: Lovely place with loads of space indoors and great facilities in general. We used the outside area a fair bit too including the lovely braai. The location is fantastic and the comms with Lydia and Janine was great overall.

Cons: It would have been lovely if there would have been some comfy seating outside apart from the really great table and chairs and we would have loved cushions on the chairs too.

The perfect holiday in Hermanus.

Pros: It felt like home! Everything we needed, a perfect backyard for some evening brais. And the decoration was so cute. It was clean, well stocked and in a quiet, charming, safe neighborhood an easy walk to town. This will be my go-to rental when we come back next year!

Cons: Nothing comes to mind.

Home away from home with everything you need walking distance to downtown

Pros: This was truly a home away from home. It was even better than the photos, and the location was perfect. It was so nice to find a place with a yard, braii, kitchen with all the utensils and appliances imaginable and within walking distance to town. It wasn't kitted out like a holiday home with the bare minimum. Rather it was set up for full-time living, which was greatly appreciated, especially with young kids. It was also helpful that the king beds could be separated into twins so the girls could each have their own bed. The area is quiet, residential, and very safe! We walked into town (15ish minutes when walking with a 4-year-old) a few times which was nice as you can cut straight down to the water and do most of the walk along the coast (we saw whales and dolphins!). All in all, we fell completely in love with Hermanus and this beautiful home.

Cons: Honestly, nothing comes to mind. Be prepared that it gets cold in winter. But the fireplace and heater in the living room worked a treat to keep the cold out. And there were heaters in the bedrooms and heated mattress pads (at first I was like, what are these??? Then I turned them on, and it was fantastic, haha!)
