De Molen Guest House

De Molen is an exceptional place to stay. I will certainly return.

Pros: The location is outstanding, on the slope of the Helderberg Mountain, with a great view and sense of being away from a built-up area. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The cottage that I was in had everything one needed to be self-sufficient, including a kitchenette. Breakfast was super.

Great Stay at De Molen

Pros: Everything at De Molen was perfect. Clean rooms, great views. Excellent service and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Cons: Everything was perfect.

Pros: The staff moved us to another unit at no extra cost because the Booking.com advert was a bit misleading. We also received breakfast on the house. I can't thank the De Molen management and staff enough for an extraordinary and luxurious 2-night stay with the most unbelievable views (day and night). We will most definitely be back as soon as possible. Thank you kindly!

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Lovely place to stay, beautiful surroundings and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpfully. We where staying in a cottage and every morning a delicious breakfast was delivered at our cottage. Ideal place to stay if you want to explore (the surroundings of) Somerset West, Stellenbosch and even Cape Town.

We were welcomed and felt right at home.

Pros: I had the most amazing experience during my recent stay. From the moment I arrived, the service was nothing short of impeccable ! Every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and cared for. The views were breathtaking and truly made the whole stay feel extra special. The facilities were spotless, well-maintained, and made everything incredibly convenient and enjoyable. I’m genuinely so thankful for the wonderful hospitality I received. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything so right, but this accommodation exceeded all expectations. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to everyone I know! 🌟

Pros: Great spot to be within easy reach of Somerset West and Stellenbosch, but away from the traffic and bustle. Staff accommodating of our needs and helped where they could

Cons: Loved the locality but for a sports group with sporting equipment (mountain bikes) it was not ideal with regard storage

Beautiful Property for Quiet Stay

Pros: Beautiful location, amazing view. The room was clean and nice. Felt very safe. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Exactly what we were looking for. A bit of a drive from Cape Town, but so pretty and worth it. Can come and go at any time. Property is very well lit. Nice little pool as well. Would highly recommend. I stayed with a partner this time but would have felt safe here as a solo female traveler as well.

Cons: All good. FYI the bathroom door has a window, which could be a little awkward depending on who you are traveling with but not really an issue at all. Would not necessarily recommend driving back from Cape Town in the dark regularly though, so keep that in mind if you have evening plans there.
