Pros: the big room with the nice view and the big and comfortable bathroom

Cons: the parking area was kind of narrow. but we managed to park

The perfect base for exploring Cape Town and the Wineries.

Pros: The Bay View is in a great location if you want to visit Cape Town but don’t want to be in the City and well located to do the wine regions of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Lovely rooms with great views over False Bay. Rooms are really spacious, well appoint, clean with a super comfy bed. Loads of local amenities nearby, with a massive mall that has everything and the Lord Charles hotel is nearby if you want a taste of Colonial luxury and it also has a very realistic St Andrews links golf bar. The hospitality in Bay View was exceptional - so good we arranged a second visit during our two month tour of South Africa. Bay View is highly recommended and our personal thanks to Johan who made us so very welcome.

Cons: Absolutely nothing! I couldn’t fault a single thing. So good we stayed there twice. There is not one single thing I could say that is negative.

Can definitely recommend Bay View Guesthouse – location, view and overall stay superb.

Pros: Mark met us at the Guesthouse and showed us to our room. Stunning view and the property exceeded our expectations. No breakfast was provided but the rooms and bathroom were cleaned, and dirty crockery removed. Very comfortable beds and best coffee ever! And the location is superb. Will definitely stay at Bay View Guesthouse again in the future.

Pros: Very well located in Somerset West Heldervue neighborhood. Spacious property with well-appointed common room with wonderful views of the Mountains and Ocean. Owner is helpful and courteous.
