Pros: Pool and nature walks and architecture. Overall nice and restful.

Cons: Electrical plugs were sparse but it's a monument site so.

Beautiful cottage in the winelands

Pros: Beautiful little cottage on a gorgeous wine farm close to Babylonstoren, Franschoek and the winelands. We enjoyed the shared pool and the beautiful views.

Great stay, beautiful farm on a stunning lodge. Can't wait to go back.

Pros: Love the location and the novelty on staying on a functional wine farm that is producing outstanding wine! Complimentary wine tasting is a nice touch but would have loved a bottle of wine in the fridge as a welcome gift for those early nights when you're looking for a drink.

Cons: Loved everything here.

Comfortable wine estate

Pros: Beautiful wine estate, spacious and comfortably furnished cottages. Gale was very kind and all the staff were friendly. We enjoyed the wine tasting and lunch options from the restaurant. The pool was incredible with great views of the mountain. It was nice to have a bathroom for each room. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a group.

Cons: Some things were not working well when we arrived - one of the cottages' gate keys, one of the bedroom doors didn't close. Because the properties are old, windows and doors don't seal properly, and insects and rodents can enter the cottage, which could be something to improve on. However, staff were prompt and helpful at sorting out any problems we had.

I would recommend everyone to come here

Pros: I hardly know where to begin — this place is absolutely stunning. The food is wonderful, the accommodation is fantastic, and the service is truly excellent. The property is located in a peaceful setting, just a few minutes’ walk from the wine tasting, and it also has a beautiful pool. I would recommend everyone to come here. The hostess, Gale, makes the stay even more special — she has an amazing energy and a genuine service mindset. For example, she went out of her way to help when my husband became ill and needed to go to the hospital. The only thing I regret is that we didn’t stay longer :)

Pros: This is an absolute gem. I could highly recommend this beautiful piece of heaven. The rooms, the views, the amazing location of the pool (which had the perfect temperature for long swims)..... the fresh crisp linen, complimentary bottle of wine, the gardens. Just book it - you will not be sorry.

Great stay at Plaisir

Pros: Very beautiful estate and our host Gale was very lovely and helpful. S If I come back, I would be visiting Plaisir Estate again.

Cons: Not a complaint but an improvement point: a full length mirror would be a great add-on.

A beautiful wine estate with historic accommodation.

Pros: The accommodation was comfortable and furnished in keeping with its historic date. The gardens and Plaisir vineyard are beautiful. We enjoyed the welcome we received from Gale, who was vivacious and enthusiastic. We sampled the Plaisir wines in a tasting and felt that Plaisir Estates were genuinely concerned that their guests had a great time and were comfortable in their accommodation.

Amazing stay in a beautiful wine farm

Pros: Everything was amazing, the estate is beautiful, rooms are huge and clean. Staff is ultra attentive and professional; special thanks to Marc who hosted us, and Innocent who assisted us with a wonderful wine tasting. Don’t miss enjoying the some drinks in the wine tasting room/ garden - we wish it stayed open for dinner. It was truly one of the best places we’ve stayed, and we hope to come back.
