Pros: I stayed at studio #1 which was spacious, very quiet, beautifully furnished and kitted with all one could possibly need. Very small fridge with mini freezer compartment was sufficient. Besides ketgle and Nespresso machine (capsules provided as was mil, water and a little bubbly) there was nothing to prepare a meal but restaurants are within 5 min walking distance. Perfect, quiet, safe. Will definitely come again!

A gem of a place to stay in the heart of Hermanus

Pros: I love the central location of the Vishuis. I have stayed here on a number of occasions and it's a really comfortable place to stay. It's in a secure gated area and there is off street secure parking. It's walkable to everywhere in the town. The cottages are tastefully decorated with some nice artwork. Marc is a great host and very accommodating. There's free tea, coffee, sugar and snacks available. My friends were in the one bedroom cottage, which has the added benefit of being able to get together to cook and eat. There was an abundance of crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was having to leave :(

Pros: Marc is an exceptionally warm, friendly, and uncomplicated host. From the very first moment, we felt welcome and well taken care of. His tips (where to go, where to ride our MTB) were fantastic, and his incredible eye for design and detail is reflected in every corner of The Vishuis — beautifully styled, lovingly maintained, and full of character. The charming little house is tastefully and artistically decorated and located in a wonderfully quiet and safe area, within easy walking distance to the ocean. Waking up there feels peaceful and inspiring. A Nespresso machine is provided, and there are plenty of lovely cafés nearby for a relaxed breakfast. This is a truly special place with a creative soul — we can wholeheartedly recommend this unique accommodation and would return in a heartbeat.

Pros: Location is excellent ; you can walk everywhere and the rooms are beautiful and clean with a lovely little splash pool.

A wonderful affordable property in central Hermanus.

Pros: Everything, it suited us (an elderly couple) perfectly. Marc was welcoming both on arrival and departure. A couple of questions prior to our stay were answered rapidly. I can’t remember a larger shower. The living area is huge. The art work was fascinating, the courtyard delightful. The position of the accommodation was a very short walk away from central Hermanus. Marc offered wise suggestions about the use of our time.

Fantastic stay in Hermanus!

Pros: What a fantastic place to stay! Marc greeted us in person to show us around and give us lots of great tips and recommendations. The owners are clearly very proud of their property and treat it with care and consideration. The villa was gorgeously decorated with really nice art and plenty of style and character. Walking distance to the sea and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Great stay in the city centre of Hermanus

Pros: Perfect stay in the centre of Hermanus… warmly greeted by Marc upon arrival, beautiful interior and garden. Safe and secure parking on site. Walking distance to the cliff path, quiet, clean,… everything you could wish for.

Cons: Room can feel a bit cold in the morning, but heating and fireplace are provided.
