Weltevreden Estate

Pros: We had a very nice stay at Weltevreden Estate. Even though the check-in was a bit messy at first, the team did everything they could to make us feel at home, and we truly appreciated their effort. They were very open and honest in their communication, which meant a lot to us. We also really enjoyed the dinner and wine – such a lovely experience! The room was very comfortable, and the estate itself is absolutely beautiful, especially for events. We would definitely love to come back again.

Perfect Family Escape on a Beautiful Vineyard

Pros: Our little family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Weltevreden. The setting is gorgeous and super secure, and the staff were an absolute highlight — so warm and welcoming, always ensuring we were comfortable and happy. Staying on the vineyard was a real treat, especially with the complimentary wine tasting — made traveling with our 7-month-old completely stress-free! The Bertha wine was excellent, and the food was delicious. The kitchenette with a fridge was such a luxurious convenience, and the whole experience felt like a peaceful, relaxing escape. We hope it keeps its charm, as we would love to go back already!

Cons: The only small thing we missed was a bathtub — it would make things easier with a toddler, and the bathroom seemed spacious enough to accommodate one.

Pros: We had a fabulous stay at Weltevreden Estate. The estate is beautiful and full of character, with authentic room design that really adds to the experience. The manager was extremely helpful and gave us excellent recommendations for wineries in the area, which we truly appreciated. Breakfast was tasty and well prepared, a great start to the day. Staff - very helpful and friendly! Lots of animals at the property- ducks, chickens, cats, squirrels Overall, a lovely place to stay and one we would happily recommend.

Cons: The cat - Oreo, needs some training. Not letting to pet itself, teasing all the guests with his cuteness.

The attention to detail is evident throughout, blending heritage charm with modern comfort. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, always going out of their way to make guests feel at home. Set amidst rolling hills, the estate enjoys a wonderfully peaceful location, yet remains conveniently close to the heart of the winelands - just a ten-minute drive from Stellenbosch.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay — beautiful grounds, friendly people, and a magical atmosphere.

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, and the poetry and art throughout the farm add a truly magical touch. It’s the perfect place to unwind, whether you’re exploring the property or relaxing with a glass of wine. The main house is beautiful, and the level of security made us feel completely safe throughout our stay

Cons: Our unit didn’t have a little stoep or balcony. It wasn’t advertised as having one, so that was on us, but we only realised once we arrived. It’s definitely worth booking a unit with a balcony ,especially with the beautiful tree view from the other loft.

Great place to stay in Stellenbosch

Pros: It’s a beautiful place, de rooms are amazing and the food was great.
