An idyllic stay in beautiful accommodation, and serene surroundings.

Pros: Breakfast was not included in the price and with a start time of 08:30 it actually made sense as some mornings were early starts!

Great setting in a very tranquil and picturesque location

Pros: Le Manoir is set in stunning grounds and you can tell that Charmaine and her team take real pride in creating a tranquil oasis in which to relax and / or explore Franschoek and the surrounding areas. The pool area is perfect and the service provided by the entire team was really attentive. We loved the way that Charmaine maintained contact via Whatsapp so that every eventuality was covered.

Cons: The room felt quite dated and does require some updating to keep track of other options within Franschoek. We fed this back to Charmaine on check out and she advised that rooms are in the process of being updated and modernised.

Pros: Everything was pure bliss. The tranquility of the place, staff and owner Charmaine, all hands on and super friendly and professional. The beauty of the manoir, the well kept garden with beautiful plants, exotic and colourfull flowers in gorgeous pots, the views, the atmosphere.. definitely 5-star!

Pros: Beautiful classic building set in a lovely well kept garden with stunning views.

Cons: Our room was difficult to get at a comfortable temperature

Tranquility at its best

Pros: Everything was great. Charmaine is a wonderful hostess, and all the staff were very accommodating. They arranged shuttles for us and made sure our stay was perfect.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Pros: We had a lovely stay! It is very spacious, lots of green / beautiful surroundings, large room, excellent service and hospitality. Also location wise we thought it was perfect.

Idyllic

Pros: A very special place. I stayed here in 2016 and was delighted to return. It was just as fantastic as I remembered. So much character, none of the pretentiousness as some other places in the area, a beautiful setting (with grounds to walk in), serene and tranquil, and Charmaine and her team are just wonderful.

Pros: Location convenient for our dinner that evening. Lovely setting in mature and leafy grounds, with a decent sized well set pool, very spacious room (we had the honeymoon suite so not sure of others)

Cons: Occasional traffic noise from main road - not high, but those wishing for real tranquillity please note. Dated interiors. Room needed a/c given summer, would have preferred a fan.
