The hidden gem of durbanville

Pros: We absolutely loved our stay! The studio was beautiful, clean, and had such a relaxing vibe. My favorite part was definitely the spacious bathroom — it felt so luxurious! The aircon was a total lifesaver with the heat, too. We originally booked the place because of how central it is, but it honestly felt like we were on a mini vacation. Every little detail in the décor and theme was so well thought out and aesthetic. It was quiet, private, and super easy to access — we couldn’t have asked for better!

Cons: I suppose you hear this often, but the noise from people staying in the flat was a bit of a bother, they were very loud.

Pros: It’s a beautiful spot and truly great value for money. Warm, cosy, and wonderfully homey. I absolutely loved my short stay and would wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

Pros: It was conveniently located for our conference. The area felt safe and easy to get to, and the facilities were more than suitable for one night. The host was incredibly friendly and so happy to help us when we couldn't find our keys, and the little book of information left in the room was so useful! The AC was also a lifesaver for the Joburg guest who was not quite prepared for Cape Town cold! We were also very grateful for the bar-fridge and kettle :)

Cons: The one mirror in the bathroom was rather dirty, and there was a very strange smell when we first entered the room. Noted a number of strange noises during the course of the evening (may have just been the pipes) and the mirror placed by the bathtub does make for a rather awkward experience on the loo. Sharing the room with a colleague, a sturdy door between the bathroom and bedroom would have also been appreciated.

Pros: In terms of value for money, it was excellent. Safe and secure parking. Cleanliness was tops. Very comfortable bed.

Cons: Although it had all the basic kitchen things like a good kettle, microwave, utensils etc,, work space was terribly limited. There was a bit of bumping from the floor above at between 3 & 4 am. that was a bit of a disturbance.
