Celebrating a Golden 60th Birthday in Style with our family

Pros: The facilities available for a large group are amazing.Having 3 braai areas depending on the weather is perfect.The hot tub and pool were great and well used. Having a pizza oven as well as well as ice maker in the courtyard entertainment area was a huge bonus. The fridge in the kitchen having ice making on demand was such a nice luxury as well . Well appointed kitchen with all you need for entertaining a large group . Having 3 bathrooms for a family of 7 was greatly needed and appreciated. Having 3 areas to eat as a family was also lovely allowing us to celebrate my 60th Birthday in style. We loved having the deer,Springboks,ostrich and sheep close by .

Cons: Two small things The shower heads on all the showers need to be updated. The taps in the scullery basin need to be tightened as they are super loose and the hot water flow is erratic because of this

Pros: Hearing the animals and the views. Very peaceful and tranquil.

Cons: Signal on the property was not too good. Master bedroom has some struggles with warm water.

The house and amenities exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended.

Pros: The quiet location. The beautiful farmhouse. The comfort of it all. The hot tub. The excellent communication. The ample supply of wood for braai and hot tub. The sheltered inner courtyard. The extra ice maker. Everything.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Beautiful setting with spacious living areas with options for braaing depending on how the wind is blowing. Lots of dry wood for the hot tub that has a fabulous view over farm (deer and springbok). Pool was lovely to cool down in The house was clean and neat with everything we needed

Cons: Flies - but we understand it's a working farm and managed it

Pros: Loved the hot tub and farm animals. Also great have had the indoor braai as the wind picked up really strong the afternoon.

Cons: Wish we could have stayed longer.

Pros: Location was key for us as we had a team competing in W2W, the cottage was perfect! The outlook over the fields with the impala and springbok was magic. Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub but it was beautiful!

Cons: A clothes line to hang wet towels and bath mats out on would be a great help, as with the showers not having doors, things got Very wet. A bigger bin outside would also help.

Pros: Scenic, peaceful and private. Beautiful view of the sheep and farmland. The hot tub was lovely and there are two fireplace areas. One indoor and outdoor. Also love that there was a potjie pot provided.

Perfect for a relaxing escape

Pros: The property was lovely, peaceful, clean and safe. We had our youngest daughter (5) with us and it was exactly what we wanted for the weekend. The host was easy to deal with and the house had everything we needed. Sitting on the patio at night with the braai and the stars was perfect. Xena the dog was also lovely and we enjoyed hanging out with her :)

Cons: Nothing - we were very happy.

The Best of The Best

Pros: I actually didn't wanted to leave the Sunday. It was peaceful, beautiful, clean. I've booked a few places on booking.com then when I get there its far worst than what was advertised. But Ou Muel Farm exceeded allllll my expectations. I will definitely go again and again and again. Lots of Blessings

Cons: I'm a person with a disability, getting in and out of the kol-kol / hottub 🔥 was a big struggle because of that steep step and nowhere to hold on to, getting in and out.

Pros: The cottage and the view with the hot tub was amazing and the doggie.

Cons: Nothing. Was amazing.
