Pros: The location for people who love nature and the outdoors. Working farm and Willem makes a great 🍷. Great walks.

Cons: The short stay

Awesome, peaceful and relaxing stay

Pros: Marelise was very gracious, friendly and accommodating. Facilities in a very good condition. We requested a breakfast basket and it was delivered by Friday afternoon, not long after we checked in. All things in the basket was enough for the 6 of us and more, it contained all ingredients that we would have bought for ourselves. The 2 bottles of wines received as a gift was a friendly gesture from the hosts. We are already talking about booking again. Perfect place for families with kids as well as couples. Sunday morning the men did a tractor drive which they absolutely loved. The pool was awesome and the house caters for everything in terms of utensils and enough bathrooms for a group of 6 to 10 people.

Cons: Nothing not to like, except WiFi a bit slow, but we did not really care about it.

Great stay at Mountainview Vineyards

Pros: Welcoming and available hostess! Clean and fitted with all the essentials and more! Spacious entertainment areas and bedrooms! Most beautiful farm setting surrounded by a vineyard! Loved our stay and will definitely book again!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the house and generosity of the hosts. They provided such a warm welcome. Exceeded our expectations on all fronts. We would love to return again soon.

Cons: Only a minor detail, if you are trying to work remotely, the internet connectivity was a bit patchy. Ideal though, if you are needing to switch off and disconnect.

Lovely comfortable farm house with great pool and views.

Pros: Superb location at the end of a valley with a good dirty road leading to it. Lovely views of the vineyards and mountains. All the mod-cons including a dishwasher. The house was cool on hot summer days, and our dog loved it too. Animals (sheep, donkeys) are nearby and free-ranging through the vineyards. Kids loved the peacocks that were wandering around as well as the Maine Coons (huge cats) at the owners house. Nice rockpools a short hike away (with some scrambling/swimming to get to the nice pools) and some decent gravel cycling from the farm too. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Cons: Wi-fi signal was poor in most parts of the house but this was actually a benefit as kids were forced to entertain themselves, which wasn't difficult.

Bliss!

Pros: Beautiful surroundings. Lovely farm house accommodation. Clean and very well stocked. Fabulous, helpful and accommodating hosts. Especially loved the walks and the tractor drive to the nearby grotto which was incredibly special!!! Highly recommend for a family getaway.

Cons: We were unable to use the pool but I think this was unavoidable due to a previous heavy storm in the area.

Pros: Beautiful & peaceful location. Good facilities. Hot blankets on all the beds were much appreciated!

Cons: The house was not clean (insects discovered in bathroom towels, grimey cooking pots, dirty cupboards) and was not serviced at all during our 6-day stay, not even for a change of linen (towels) or to empty the rubbish bins. Poor attention to detail/ organisation of the facilities/ equipment. With better management & attention given to guests (for example, instructions about where to empty the ash from the fireplace, where to hang the laundry or take the rubbish), this could be a fantastic destination.

Pros: Everything. The host were friendly. It felt like family.

Little Piece of Paradise

Pros: My friends and I had an amazing stay at Mountainview Vineyards. The views, pool, and house exceeded my expectations. This space is a little piece of paradise and I will definitely be back. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the house is kitted out with everything that you could need. I would just say maybe bring some extra light options for load shedding but otherwise, you have plenty of gas and braai cooking options. Wifi is slow and inaccessible in some areas but honestly, it's best to disconnect when enjoying this space. The hosts were lovely and welcoming and my Yorkie also enjoyed all the greenery and free space to walk and explore. The large house and space make it perfect for couples and larger groups. A dishwasher was a plus and made cleaning up very easy adding to the stress-free nature of the place.

Cons: N/A - just be aware you do have a 15-minute drive on gravel roads in case you don't want/like that. We drove in a Hyundai i10 and had no issues, so this is really just a point of preference for some travellers.
