What a gem of a place! We will be back!
Pros: We really hit the jackpot with this accommodation!! Very spacious and peaceful with it's own little private garden. Everything and more that one could need. Got a great welcome by the Owner, loved the extra touches, fruit bowl, yogurts, cereals, milk, rusks etc. Walking distance to many great restaurants on the beachfront. Loved the friendly cats that sauntered over for cuddles. We would highly recommend this stay!

Excellent hosts, spacious cottage - minutes from the cliff walk.
Pros: David and Colleen are incredibly welcoming, helpful and easy-going. The cottage is brilliant, very spacious with a separate bedroom and lounge area with a kitchen. It has everything you need and was a great place to have some quiet relaxation. It's situated just a few minutes from the picturesque cliff walk, so I was able to catch many a sunset and watch the whales from the cliff tops. David even helped drop me off with my bags to the pick-up point for my bus. Highly recommended and will be my first point of call when I'm back in Hermanus!

Friendly, comfortable and perfectly situated cottage with everything you need.
Pros: We absolutely loved the Funky Cottage! The warm and friendly interior...colourful and eclectic. The beautiful garden with a corner just for us to enjoy the winter sun. We slept so well with the gurgling fountain ourside and the bed is big and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and basic groceries were provided. The cottage has secure parking and overall security is very good. From the cottage to the Cliff Path we needed 5 mins. We rented bicycles in town and needed 10 mins either way to town and to the new harbour.The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome ( My tip: visit their shop in town to buy all your gifts) We will definitely stay here again!

Amazing hosts in a fabulous funky cottage
Pros: David and Colleen are outstanding hosts. We stayed in their cottage for 4 nights and it was very comfortable. We felt very at home. Our hosts seem to have thought of everything. Even a starter kit of water, milk, butter etc was supplied. The location is excellent, very close to the cliff walk. We took a boat trip out and saw 12 southern right whales at close quarters. From the town centre the next day we saw more whales from the shore. They were breaching close to shore. An amazing place. Don't hesitate to visit. Funky Cottage is highly recommended.

Funky Cottage!
Pros: We were very comfortable. Mattress was comfy and we had everything we needed. WiFi was a bit wonky at times, but owner sorted it. Owners very friendly and helpful. Short walk into town. Shower drain tended to be blocked a bit, but owner said he would sort it out. 👍 If I can suggest anything, it would be putting a motor on the gate.

The Funkiest Cottage Ever - Stunning
Pros: Everything about Funky Cottage was fantastic. It offers a lot of space and a real homey feel! The hosts, David and Colleen were also amazing people! It's been the best value for money accomodation on our entire trip through Eastern and Western Cape. I would definitely recommend them for your next holiday booking!
