Wonderful experience, with a kind and engaging host who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome.

Pros: Excellent location: seafront, very quiet and safe area. Waves breaking on the rocks barely 50m away. Fantastic views., beautiful interiors.

Cons: Nothing not to like.

It's a nice house and location

Pros: The location is very good. It is self catering so no breakfast. You can see the sea from the house

Cons: The towels had a bad smell and the main bed are very noisy you can't turn around and not wake the person next to you. The shower are very small and the floor are wet when your done showering

Lovely spot, loved our stay!

Pros: Lovely location and very friendly owners. Also love the 1950’s layout of the house.

Cons: Some of the amenities require a little freshening up.

Pros: Rooi Els Cottage is an absolute hidden gem. The most charming and cosy cottage—perfect for a peaceful retreat. The location is incredible, with a short and scenic walk to the beach that feels magical at any time of day. Inside, the cottage is beautifully appointed and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. The hosts are exceptional—warm, thoughtful, and incredibly accommodating. They go out of their way to make your stay special.

You find the essence of sea, rocks, peaceful nature here.

Pros: In the wonderful peaceful little town of Rooiels. The light, wind, sound, views, sunset, quietness is healing and comforting. The Cottage is what it is. Not so new anymore but honest. Peaceful, no TV or wifi, the right place to find yourself again. I love it.

Cons: Nothing.

Great place.

Pros: We checked-in late evening, so could not see the environment. So what a surprise to discover the surroundings and the beach during a beautiful morning walk. One night was too short! Instructions and info received before check-in were clear. The house has a lot of character. The inner courtyard is very pleasant. The house is well protected from the animals in the nature. Indeed, there was a baboon visitor in the morning!
