Onrus House

Pros: The location was beautiful. Just a stone's throw from the beach. Beautiful facilities with lots of bed rooms. Additional, there was excellent entertainment options both indoors and outdoors.

Cons: Some of the electronic appliances, such as the toaster, weren't working. Nothing major though. Overall, a really pleasant stay for a weekend away 🙂

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Pros: The location cant be better in Onrus. You are walking distance from everything.

Cons: In the house the bathroom is not on the same floor as the rooms. Not a mayor thing, just a bit uncomfortable.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Protea Escape! The house is absolutely lovely — a charming, quirky triangle home that’s been thoughtfully and tastefully set up with every little detail taken care of. It’s spotless, cozy, and has all the amenities you could possibly need. The interiors give off such a warm, seaside vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. Melissa was a fantastic host — kind, responsive, and very helpful with local recommendations (including whale watching!). The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, and the location was perfect for exploring Hermanus. Wish we could’ve stayed longer — highly recommend this place to anyone visiting!
