Gem on van Wijk Stay

Pros: The accommodation is a beautiful space and suited our needs. Robert was very accommodating, in allowing us to drop our luggage off before the official check-in time. I liked the fact that there are 3 bathrooms. The accommodation is very central, a walk away from the main road and the shops.

Cons: We had 3 cars and we had to unfortunately park one of them in someone else's parking bay. We were 3 couples and the third bedroom had 2 single beds which we could not push together to make one double bed.

Great location in the heart of Franschoek!

Pros: Great location - walking distance from everything in town. Safe parking in a secure gated complex. Comfortably kitted out with everything you need.

Pros: The unit was very spacious, clean and well equipped. The washing machine and tumble dryer was a bonus! The unit is close to shops and restaurants, so we walked everywhere we wanted to go and felt safe to do so, even at night.

Cons: I would like for it to have more long mirrors for our ladies that want to double check our outfits, as well as maybe a dresser table with a plug-point for doing make-up and styling hair. A small side-table next to the main bedroom bath would be nice for soap, shampoo, bodywash - currently we need to put it on the floor and need to stretch down to the floor to get it. The main bedroom's shower window needs to be frosted or sandblasted, when you shower or bath the neighbors can see you through the window, there was builders on the roof at the opposite house.

Pros: The location is tiptop, it's so close to everything in downtown. The house is spacious, bright and tastefully decorated, especially the primary bedroom. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped. Overall, we are happy with our stay at this

Cons: The negative side is that the staircase railing is a bit dusty. The floor is slightly slippery (*the cleaner probably used too much floor cleaning detergent). The duvet in the lower ground bedroom has worn out. Since there's no heating, my sister-in-law felt very cold because the blanket was thin. The property only provides a shower gel; there was no shampoo or hair dryer, so we had to go out and buy.
