Wonderfully located and very comfortable guesthouse

Pros: Ansley was an amazing host. Very personable indeed and lead a great time of (many fairly new) staff. Lovely, comfortable room, with great views. A small but perfectly adequate pool area. Great breakfasts, and the biggest surprise was to be able to have an in-house dinner cooked by an external chef. Excellent quality food and service. Good spa was again a lovely surprise. Beautifully located on the coastal walk.

Cons: Maybe, for the price, a few complimentary items, such as “treats” and a bottle of wine, could to be included in the price, as was the case in some other guest houses.

Not worth the price

Pros: Sea-facing room was spacious, well-appointed and with superior furnishing. Good breakfast. Excellent couples massage.

Cons: This is a four star bed and breakfast property, so the cost (R10800) is totally excessive for the amenities provided, ie small pool and pool area, average communal areas, tiny gym, etc. Also, charging for water at breakfast is just cheap and off-putting.

Perfect stay with short drive to the center of Hermanus

Pros: Beautiful location with stunning sea views. Lovely, quiet room. Delicious breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had two minor complaints before dinner, which were resolved upon our return! Truly great service!!!

Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
