Irma's farmstay at the Nuy Valley Guesthouse

Pros: Its gorgeous and peaceful, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Cons: Not having power was slightly inconvenient but we did get good notice beforehand, and we still all got hot showers :) which we appreciate. Hosts were extremely gracious, the space is beautiful.

Cons: some problems with electricity, a minor issue for me (it was quickly fixed).

Exceptional service, stunning views, cozy stay.

Pros: The service exceeded expectations. We were greeted friendly and accommodated very well to our specific needs of the trip. I would definitely recommend this place if you are a larger group wanting a nice break away. Stunning views rounded off the trip.

Cons: The house is consists of older farm furniture and appliances, but this is expected and formed part of a cozy feeling in the house and was by no means uncomfortable, maybe just something guests should be aware of.

Pros: Beautiful environment and very comfortable accommodation. The owners were very friendly and the views on the property are beautiful. I can recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature.

Pros: Location is amazing: not too far, no hectic roads, but enough away to feel away. The property (outside) itself is unbelievable. The beautiful flowing gardens of roses etc were quite something. Great for strolls and also for playing ball. Inside felt like a huge trust deposit: this massive stately dining table and comfy lounge chairs, great kitchen… it all felt like we were being really spoiled and entrusted with a home that’s been running for generations (which is what it is actually!). Bedrooms were lovely. The house was naturally cool due to its old construction : thick walls; high ceilings; thatch roof. Amazing even in sweltering heat.

Cons: The pool wasn’t functional, sadly - so that would be great for next time. I’m also looking forward to coming in the winter when the river out front is running. We were very safe and secure but I’m not sure if there is front gate security in the case of someone’s ill intent.

Pros: We did our own catering and had the complete kitchen for ourselves . Our stay was awesome and I must really compliment Andre . He was so friendly and had emphathy with our situation for reason to have booked on such short notice

Rustic but comfortable

Pros: Rustic but comfortable. Beds and bedding very comfortable. There was a problem with electricity, but it was sorted out quite quickly. Nice outside seating area with braai. Very central location for wine and olive tastings. Convenient WiFi. Kitchen is well equipped, but kitchen scissors and ice buckets would have been very nice to have.

Cons: We liked everything.

Pros: Everything! Solid old style South African hospitality on its best. After 4 decades in the Southern African hospitality trade, I do not get easily impressed.

Pros: Spent one night at Irma's farm stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly, welcoming staff, allowed us to check in early. Beautiful scenery. Clean room, kettle, coffee, tea provided. Also crockery and cutlery. Recommended for short stay.

It was wonderful to experience staying on a farmhouse. We had a totally relaxing time.

Pros: We had a wonderful experience staying in the Cape Dutch house. The house is beautiful and big and well maintained. The gardens are lovely with a lovely walkway leading up to the house that has a fountain. When we walked in there was already a fire going in the fireplace. There was a beautiful vase of flowers in the dinning room. It was so welcoming. The kitchen is lovely and big and fully equipped. It is great that you can experience living in an old style farmhouse but have the luxury of WiFi and streaming any program on Tv. The tv in the dinning room is so nice and big and I think it was the best rugby game we have ever watched on TV. The garden outside is lovely and we had lovely braai’s. It was a very comfortable stay.

Cons: Everything was perfect.
